The Mairena del Aljarafe City Council opens the registration period on September 14 for 14 cultural workshops for the 2026/2027 course, with two new proposals: Adventure in Motion and Crafts and Artistic Recycling.
The cultural workshop offerings of Mairena del Aljarafe for the 2026/2027 course are now taking shape. The City Council has finalised a programme of 14 activities that blend traditional disciplines with contemporary proposals, to be held across four municipal spaces.
The registration period begins on September 14. Those wishing to sign up can do so in two ways: through the municipal website or in person at the Los Alcores Sociocultural Centre.
This year's new offerings include Adventure in Motion and Crafts and Artistic Recycling. The list is completed with conversational English, crochet, regional dance, modern dances, fitness, Latin music, Manila shawls, tailoring, flamenco costumes, ceramics, painting, children's painting, and Latin dances.
The Culture Delegate, Sergio Toro, has defended the continuity of this offering as a way for residents to make the most of their free time and connect with one another.
"We reaffirm our commitment to providing the people of Mairena with opportunities to enjoy their free time, learn both traditional and contemporary disciplines, meet people, and, above all, feel part of our community"
The course will start on October 1 and end on June 15. Classes will be held at the Los Alcores Sociocultural Centre, the Villa de Mairena Theatre, the Rafael Alberti Library, and the Lepanto Senior Centre.
With this distribution across different points in the municipality, the City Council aims to ensure that the workshops reach more neighbourhoods and that travel distances for participants are shorter.
Those interested in reserving a spot should keep in mind that the registration opens on September 14 and that places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, both on the municipal website and at the in-person service at the Los Alcores Sociocultural Centre.
