Lebrija hosts the second day of the Plaza Sound festival on August 28 in Plaza de España, featuring Las Migas, Diván Du Don, and DJ Kalo, coinciding with the Summer Night Market.
Lebrija will once again transform its historic centre into an open-air stage on August 28 with the second day of Plaza Sound. The festival, which already filled Plaza de España on July 31, will return with a lineup headlined by Las Migas, Diván Du Don, and DJ Kalo, aiming to attract a young audience while remaining open to all ages.
Las Migas, a group with two decades of experience and two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Flamenco Album, will present their latest work, Flamencas, maintaining their commitment to fusion. The band, which has performed in over fifty countries, will arrive in Lebrija in the midst of their promotional tour for this album.
Joining them will be Diván Du Don, one of the most nationally prominent bands from Extremadura. Their song Vuelo, certified as Gold and Platinum Record, has been key to their recognition, and the group continues to add dates at festivals across the country. The night will be closed by DJ Kalo, who will provide the final touch to the day.
Services and Traffic Disruptions
The City Council of Lebrija has detailed the services available for the event. Accessible toilets will be installed on Corredera and Ignacio Halcón streets, and restrooms will be available on Trinidad, Antón Pérez, and Sevilla. There will also be an ambulance service on Trinidad street throughout the event.
For those arriving by car, the San Francisco Public Parking will remain open until 4:00 AM, while the parking lots on Eduardo Dato and Paseo de los Estudiantes will be available 24 hours. For safety reasons, Corredera, Ignacio Halcón, and Cataño streets will be closed to traffic during the festival, so it is advisable to plan travel in advance.
Local Businesses Join the Celebration
The second day of Plaza Sound will coincide with a new edition of the Summer Night Market, organised by Apyme Lebrija in collaboration with the City Council. It will take place on Arcos street from 19:00 to 24:00 and will bring together around twenty shops offering discounts, promotions, and seasonal items, as well as back-to-school proposals.
As a novelty, customers will be able to participate in raffles and promotions with prizes in vouchers to shop that same night at participating establishments. Apyme will set up tents for other local businesses to temporarily relocate their activities to the urban centre, and the local hospitality sector will contribute to creating a festive atmosphere.
Participating businesses include La Tienda de Luca, Taller Patidifusa, Lush Lamb, Papelería Imaginarte, Modas María José Calceta, de Diez Modas, Modas Carmen Jarén, Floristería Juanjo Moreno, Papelería Atenea, La Cajita de Martina, Zapatería Jésica, AGS Seguros, and MetroMerca Infantil, among others. All establishments on Arcos street will be able to remain open during the market hours, with prior notification to Apyme.
