The Hermandad del Rocío of Gines is celebrating its traditional Velada until Friday, August 14, which this year marks its 50th anniversary, with music and children's activities at the Juan de Dios Soto promenade.

This week, the Hermandad del Rocío of Gines is celebrating the 50th edition of its traditional August Velá, an event that has become one of the most rooted summer activities in the Sevillian locality. The evening, which began on Wednesday, August 12, will continue until Friday, August 14, coinciding with the Triduum of the Assumption that the brotherhood organizes every year around August 15.

The stage is once again set up in the parking lot next to the Juan de Dios Soto promenade, which has been prepared for the occasion. On this first day, the music was provided by José Antonio Sabín, while Thursday, August 13, will be especially dedicated to the children of the Children's Colonies.

The final touch will come on Friday, August 14, with a new live musical performance, this time by the local group 'La Trupe'. The August Velá thus reaches half a century of history, a milestone that consolidates it as one of the most anticipated events in the summer calendar in Gines.

During these days, many locals come to enjoy this proposal, which combines community, tradition, and leisure for all ages. Entry is free and open to the public, as reported by the brotherhood itself.

The celebration of this 50th anniversary strengthens the bond of the Hermandad del Rocío with the municipality, where devotion to the White Dove has deep roots. The evening will conclude on Friday with the performance of 'La Trupe', wrapping up four days of activities that have kept alive a tradition that is now part of Gines' summer identity.
