The Espartinas Town Hall has tendered the installation of seven motorised bioclimatic pergolas in Plaza del Avión, with a budget of 171,319.67 euros and a bidding period that ends on October 5, 2026.
The Plaza del Avión in Espartinas will feature seven motorised bioclimatic pergolas. The Espartinas Town Hall has published the public tender for the supply and installation of these elements, which will be distributed throughout the plaza. The aim is to provide shade throughout the year and enhance the usability of the space.
The initiative is part of the Municipal Shade Plan, a strategy for climate adaptation and improvement of public space. A total of nearly 70 linear meters of pergolas will be installed, distributed across 7 areas around the plaza. Each structure will measure two meters wide by 2.5 meters high.
The bioclimatic and motorised design allows the roof slats to be opened in winter to let in light and sun, or in summer at night to facilitate air circulation. The plaza serves as a community gathering point and is used almost daily by the school community of Colegio Espartinas.
The project is supported by the Seville Provincial Council through a grant from the More Seville Provincial Plan, under the Territorial Cohesion Area. The tender amount totals 171,319.67 euros.
Interested companies can submit their bids until October 5, 2026 at 23:59 hours. Once the contract is awarded, the installation of the pergolas will begin, changing the appearance of the plaza and expanding shaded areas for residents and students.
