The Activa-T Joven programme in Espartinas concludes in November after six months of hiring 12 unemployed young people. The initiative has combined training and work in youth spaces with a subsidy from the Junta and European funds.
The Espartinas Town Council has announced the conclusion of the Activa-T Joven programme, an employment initiative that has allowed for the hiring of 12 young people for six months. The contracts will end next month in November, according to the council.
The project has been developed with a grant from the Ministry of Employment, Business and Self-Employment of the Junta de Andalucía, co-financed by the European Union through the FSE+ Andalucía 2021-2027 Programme. The aid is part of the National Youth Guarantee System and aims to promote local employment integration and improve the employability of unemployed young people.
During these six months, participants have carried out tasks in five specific areas. The first has been the dynamisation of youth spaces. They have also been responsible for the adaptation and improvement of these spaces, as well as monitoring, surveillance, and public assistance within them.
Other tasks developed have included the production, creation, and dissemination of multimedia content for young people and support for administrative work. The Espartinas Town Council has described the execution of all these actions as successful.
"This programme will conclude next month of November with the end of the contract for the 12 participating young people," the council has stated.
The initiative has been supported by the Espartinas Town Council and has been aimed at young people registered in the National Youth Guarantee System. With its conclusion, participants are ending a six-month work experience that sought to improve their chances of finding employment in the municipality.
