Aljarafesa begins the renewal of 2,514 metres of pipes on 28th February Street to ensure supply from the future Valencina reservoir.
The municipality of Castilleja de la Cuesta has commenced improvement and sectorisation works on the water supply network in the north-western area. The works, promoted by Aljarafesa, are part of the project to increase water pressure in homes and involve an investment of €1.3 million.
The aim is to execute a new belt that sectors the distribution network and prepares it to withstand increased pressure. With this infrastructure, the supply from the future regional reservoir to be built in Valencina de la Concepción will improve.
The works start on 28th February Street and will continue through Azalea, Manuel Rodríguez Navarro, Noria, Blas Infante Avenue, Reina Mercedes, Esteban Rosales Míguez, Alcalde Francisco Carrero, Carmen Frías Sáez, La Alberquilla, La Cerca II, and Romero Murube. In total, 2,514 metres of pipes will be renewed, as well as the pavements and road surfaces that need to be replaced.
The mayor, Carmen Herrera, has personally supervised the progress of the project, which she considers key for the residents of the municipality. The City Council highlights that this action will lead to a direct improvement in the daily lives of households by ensuring a more stable and sufficient water pressure.
The Local Police will gradually inform residents about traffic disruptions and parking impacts during the course of the works. Residents are advised to pay attention to official notices to plan their movements in the area.
