AD San José and UD Rinconada face the second league match with the need to secure their first three points after losing at the start of the 2026-2027 season.
The Agrupación Deportiva San José and the Unión Deportiva Rinconada have not started the 2026-2027 season as they had hoped. Both teams suffered defeats in the first matchday, making the second league encounter an opportunity to open their victory accounts.
The San José will play at home, but it will be behind closed doors due to a sanction carried over from the semi-final of the Play-Off against Osuna Bote Club. The match will take place on Friday, September 18 at 20:30, a date that coincides with the club's 75th anniversary.
Coach Nando de La Rosa is keeping the squad selection uncertain until the last moment, waiting to recover injured players and have more options than in the debut, when he only called up 16 players. The opponent will be CD Alcalá, who arrive after winning against CD San Marcos with a goal in the 88th minute. The referee will be Soltero Medina, who has already officiated for San José twice two seasons ago, with a victory for the canary team in Montequinto and against Estrella San Agustín.
Meanwhile, the Unión Deportiva Rinconada will travel to Córdoba to face CD Montalbeño on Sunday at 19:00. The team managed by Raúl Carmona needs to recover from the heavy defeat suffered at the Nuevo Leonardo Ramos Yerga against La Palma CF.
The Rinconada coach will have to restructure the defence after the expulsions of his two starting centre-backs, Gallardo and Ismael Cortés. One option is to move Francis from the wing to the centre of defence, a position he has played before.
CD Montalbeño, another newly promoted team, arrives after drawing against Castilleja CF. The match will be officiated by Moreno Sanz, from the Jaén refereeing school.
"The team has worked well this week, overcoming the tough defeat and already thinking about the next commitment to secure three points for the first time in the División de Honor"
Additionally, the Regional Deportivo programme on 104.7 FM will broadcast its carousel on Sunday starting at 11:00, with Iván Salgado and Antonio Borrego Lesmes, to follow the Andalusian grassroots football matchday and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show.
