The municipal educational leisure programme has brought together 68 young people aged 12 to 16 during July in La Rinconada, with recreational, educational and sports activities.
La Rinconada has concluded the edition of Verano Joven with the participation of 68 teenagers aged between 12 and 16. The initiative, driven by the areas of Equality and Youth and Childhood within the #Rincocorresponsable project, took place throughout the month of July at the Centro Joven La Estación and the Municipal Library of La Rinconada.
The programme offered a space for meeting and learning with group games, crafts, board games, sports and aquatic activities, training workshops on equality, the environment, recycling or artificial intelligence, video games and coexistence dynamics tailored to the group. The proposal aimed to promote family reconciliation during the holiday period and provide a healthy leisure alternative.
The delegate for Youth and Childhood, Mercedes Bueno, highlighted that “Verano Joven has established itself as a reference space for our teenagers, offering them a healthy leisure alternative, participation and coexistence during the holidays.” For her part, the delegate for Equality, Noelia Ramírez, emphasised the commitment of the City Council to families and the importance of free resources that promote reconciliation.
The programme is funded through the Corresponsables Plan, promoted by the Ministry of Equality and the Secretary of State for Equality and the Eradication of Violence against Women. In Andalusia, the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality and the Ministry of Health and Consumption participate.
Additionally, during the month of August, the Summer School is being developed for children born between 2014 and 2020 at the educational centres CEIP La Paz and CEIP Guadalquivir, also within the same plan. Interested parties can inquire at the municipal services of Youth and Equality to learn about upcoming calls.
