The Diputación de Sevilla is organising the third edition of the Patio+Metrópolis Festival, which will feature nine concerts between 11 September and 3 October in the capital and five municipalities in the metropolitan area. Ticket prices range from 5 to 10 euros.
The Patio of the Diputación de Sevilla and five municipalities in the metropolitan area will be the venue for the third edition of the Patio+Metrópolis Festival, which will take place between 11 September and 3 October. The initiative, promoted by the provincial institution, aims to bring live music to the public with nine concerts by national artists at reduced prices.
The president of the Diputación, Javier Fernández, emphasised that "culture is a citizen's right and an indispensable investment, not an expense." In total, more than 32,000 tickets will be sold, priced at 10 euros for concerts in the capital and 5 euros for those in the municipalities.
Four nights at the Patio of the Diputación
The epicentre of the festival will be in Seville, where the Patio of the Diputación will host four consecutive concerts. On 16 September, the Galician trio Tanxugueiras, known for their fusion of traditional music with electronic sounds, will kick off the cycle.
The following day, 17 September, Morgan, the band led by Nina de Juan, will take over, presenting their roots rock. On 18 September, it will be the turn of Los Planetas, who will offer an acoustic format of their repertoire. The quartet Ginebras will close this phase on 19 September with the presentation of their third album.
Five municipalities, five unique concerts
The festival's extension will bring music to other towns in the province. La Rinconada will kick off the shows on 11 September with Abraham Mateo at the El Abrazo venue. The following day, Café Quijano will perform at the bullring in Utrera.
On 25 September, Pablo López will present his new tour at the Riberas del Guadaíra auditorium in Alcalá de Guadaíra. One day later, on 26 September, Luz Casal will sing at the Los del Río auditorium in Dos Hermanas. The grand finale will take place on 3 October at the equestrian venue in Mairena del Aljarafe with the Andalusian duo La Plazuela.
Staggered ticket sales
The distribution of tickets will be carried out in a staggered manner on the official festival website. On 27 July, passes for concerts in Seville will go on sale. On 28 July, purchases will be enabled for La Rinconada and Utrera; on 29 July for Alcalá de Guadaíra and Dos Hermanas; and on 30 July for Mairena del Aljarafe.
For residents of these municipalities, the festival offers an opportunity to enjoy great artists without the need to travel to the capital. Furthermore, the price of 5 euros makes these concerts an affordable option for all budgets. An initiative that, as seen, demonstrates that quality culture does not have to be expensive.
Tickets can be purchased through the official website of the Patio+Metrópolis Festival. It is recommended to pay attention to the sale dates, as capacity is limited and high demand is expected.
