Seville's mayor, José Luis Sanz, attended the first match of the season for Torreblanca CF to commemorate the club's 60th anniversary, founded in 1966. During the break, he received a commemorative shirt and an honorary member card.
The Torreblanca Football Club celebrated its 60 years of history this Sunday with an event at the Centro Deportivo Los Caños de Torreblanca, coinciding with the first match of the season in 1ª Andaluza Senior against Mairena del Alcor. Seville's mayor, José Luis Sanz, attended the match and received a commemorative shirt and an honorary member card from the club.
The club was founded in 1966 in the Seville neighbourhood of Torreblanca and has since trained thousands of young people from the area. Sanz wanted to highlight that connection with the neighbourhood during his speech.

The mayor also recalled that the City Council completely renewed the grass on the two football pitches at this sports centre in 2024, where hundreds of young people from the city train and play, and noted that other improvements have been made to the facility.
This anniversary celebration coincides with the start of the league competition for the team, which plays in 1ª Andaluza Senior. The match took place at the Centro Deportivo Los Caños, a municipal venue that hosts the daily activities of the club and other teams in the area.
With six decades of history, Torreblanca CF remains one of the most established sports entities in the eastern district of Seville. The newly started season will be the 60th since the club's founding in 1966.
