Depleted squad and more farewells on the way
Sevilla has started the pre-season with a very reduced group of first-team players. The latest confirmed departure has been Tanguy Nianzou, sold to Lille, but it will not be the only one. According to this newspaper, forward Akor Adams has his move to Venezia sealed, and names like Oso, Rubén Vargas, or Juanlu are also on the way out. "I am clear that this pre-season is going to be tough and complicated because right now we have very few first-team players," García Plaza admitted.
The coach, who took over the Nervión bench last season, is aware that the club's economic situation conditions any movement. The excess in squad costs prevents Sevilla from signing without first selling, which forces a policy of departures before arrivals.
