Mayor José Luis Sanz welcomes Down Sevilla, which will collaborate for the first time with around fifty volunteers at the Nocturna del Guadalquivir KH7 on Friday, September 25.

The Nocturna del Guadalquivir KH7 will feature a team of volunteers from Down Sevilla this year. About fifty members of the association, including individuals with Down syndrome and their families, will be responsible for distributing race numbers and providing refreshments at the point located at Calle Muñoz León, around the four-kilometre mark of the route.

The Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, received the representatives of the entity this Friday at the City Hall to finalize the details of a collaboration that the association is debuting in this edition. Until now, Down Sevilla had not been part of the event's operations.

The event will take place on Friday, September 25 and comes with record numbers. The organization has closed registrations with 26,000 runners, after the City Hall added one thousand additional race numbers to the initial 25,000, which sold out more than a week ago. This is the 38th edition of the race.

According to the City Hall, the presence of these volunteers represents a new way to advance the full integration of individuals with Down syndrome and to promote their autonomy in all areas of society. The entity has been working for years on educational support, employment, and independent living programs in the province.

The refreshment station they will attend will be located at the four-kilometre mark, an intermediate point along the night route through the city's streets. Runners participating in the event will find this team of volunteers there.
