The Sevillian municipality offers this Saturday, September 27, a dozen free proposals to discover its heritage, although the theatrical visits to the Castle are already fully booked.
The Harinera del Guadaíra will open its doors this Saturday in two shifts, at 10.30 and 11.30 hours, to explain the history of the building and its connection to the local bread-making tradition. It is one of the free activities with which Alcalá de Guadaíra joins the World Tourism Day.
The Riberas del río Guadaíra will host interpretative routes at the same times, focused on the natural and landscape values of the surroundings. At the Museum of the City, there will be children's workshops and visits at 10.30 and 12.00 hours, aimed at families.
The Castle of Alcalá was the most popular proposal: its theatrical visits, scheduled for 10.30 and 12.30 hours, are fully booked. There are still places available for the rest of the programme, according to municipal sources.
The offer is completed with kayaking from the Active Tourism Centre starting at 10.30 hours. It is the only paid activity, priced at 5 euros, and reservations are managed directly with the company Riverízate.
The Tourism delegate, Christopher Rivas, has stated that the day serves to showcase the city's heritage, cultural, and natural wealth through experiences that connect people with their history and landscapes.
"It is key to highlight the importance of Tourism in our city, and the activities allow us to showcase our heritage, cultural, and natural wealth through experiences that connect people with our history, legacy, and landscapes."
Reservations for the free activities can be made through the ticketing website of the City Council of Alcalá de Guadaíra, at entradas.alcaladeguadaira.es. For kayaking, you need to contact the managing entity.
