The trophy will be on display on Friday 25 at the Mapfre office and on Saturday 26 at the Municipal Stadium, hours before the first leg match against CD 6 de junio de Ceuta.
Residents of Lebrija will have the chance to see the Copa del Rey up close this weekend. The trophy exhibition has been organised to coincide with the debut of the Unión Balompédica Lebrijana in the first round of the competition, which will be held at the Municipal Football Stadium on Saturday 26 September at 18:00 against CD 6 de junio de Ceuta.
The initiative, driven by Mapfre through its Office Management, will allow fans to take photos alongside the trophy. The cup's tour will kick off on Friday 25 September, from 11:30 to 13:30, at the Mapfre office in Lebrija, located at Camino del Aceituno, 19.
The next day, Saturday 26, the trophy will be moved to the entrance of the Municipal Football Stadium, where it can be visited between 16:30 and 18:00, just before the match starts.
The details of the exhibition were finalised in a meeting held on Tuesday 22 September at the mayor's office of the Lebrija City Council. The meeting included the mayor, Pepe Barroso; the Sports delegate, María Encarnación Fuentes; the president of UB Lebrijana, José Antonio Piñero; the Office Director of Mapfre, José Manuel Real; the Mapfre delegate in Lebrija, Francisco Rueda; the secretary of UBL, Antonio Busto; and the advisor of the Municipal Sports Board, José María Benítez.
This event marks a milestone for the Lebrija club, which faces the first leg of the Copa del Rey for the first time. The return leg will be played in Ceuta, although the tournament organisers have yet to confirm the exact date.
