The Teatro Municipal Juan Bernabé in Lebrija will raise the curtain on its autumn season with a very close concert: that of Quentin Gas & Los Zíngaros, a group led by the Lebrija musician Quentin Vargas. The event will take place on September 25 at 21:00 and tickets are already available.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the Casa de la Cultura or through the Giglon platform on the event page. The general price is 15 euros, although holders of the Tarjeta Amigo will benefit from a 50% discount.
The proposal of Quentin Gas & Los Zíngaros is rooted in the tradition of Andalusian rock and combines it with flamenco, 70s psychedelia, sound experimentation, and Eastern echoes. Electric guitars, synthesizers, and flamenco rhythms blend with lyrics that carry a strong poetic load and gypsy roots.
The band is completed by Bego Salazar (vocals and backing vocals), Pablo Donoso (lead guitar), Mugre (bass), Julia Dueñas (keyboards), and Ismael Prieto (drums). The group has performed at festivals and venues across Spain, Europe, Latin America, and North Africa.
One of the most recent milestones in their career is The World is Burning, recognised by MondoSonoro Sur as Best Album of 2024. The album presents an approach to Andalusian rock through experimentation and creative freedom.
The band is also preparing to release Metal Gitano, a work that delves deeper into the fusion of rock, flamenco, and psychedelia that defines their musical identity.
The concert at the Lebrija auditorium will last approximately 90 minutes and is aimed at all audiences aged 7 years and older, according to the theatre's advisory recommendation.
With this performance, Juan Bernabé begins its autumn programme, which will run until December 9. The rest of the season will be presented in its entirety once the Lebrija fair concludes.
