The festival kicked off on July 31 with DJ Chema Martínez, Silera, Aslándticos, and Lucía de la Puerta. The next event will be on August 28.
The second edition of Plaza Sound Lebrija began on July 31 with an opening day that exceeded expectations and gathered a large audience in Plaza de España. Despite the high temperatures, the festival proceeded as planned in an atmosphere of community and enjoyment of live music.
The event, organised by the Youth Department of the Lebrija City Council, once again transformed the city centre into an outdoor stage. The programme was specially designed for the youth, although open to all ages, and featured a varied offering that started with DJ Chema Martínez's set.
The local band Silera showcased local talent, followed by Aslándticos, who entertained the audience with their fusion of styles. The final touch was provided by Lucía de la Puerta, one of the most promising emerging artists in the current music scene, who connected with the attendees.
The Youth Delegate, Juan Antonio Romero, positively assessed the day's development:
“Plaza Sound has once again demonstrated that it is a consolidated proposal within the summer programme of Lebrija. The excellent atmosphere confirms the great response from the public to this type of initiative.”
Following the success of this first event, the festival will return on August 28 with performances by DJ Kalo, Las Migas, and Diván Du Don. With this second night, the Lebrija City Council reaffirms its commitment to a diverse, high-quality musical programme that is accessible to all residents.
