The Municipal School of Music and Dance in Lebrija starts the 2026/2027 academic year with over 520 enrolled students. Classes will begin on 15 September.
The Municipal School of Music and Dance in Lebrija has officially inaugurated the 2026/2027 academic year with a record number of enrollments: over 520 students will receive musical training over the coming months. The opening event took place last Thursday, 3 September, and was attended by the Culture Delegate, Pepe Martínez; the Training Delegate, Paula García; the school director, Antonio López, and the teaching staff.
During the presentation, the team addressed questions from mothers, fathers, and family members about the operation of the new academic year. Pepe Martínez highlighted the role of this public service, which provides quality musical education throughout the year, and expressed his recognition of the teaching staff, whom he described as performing commendable work. Paula García also publicly thanked the teachers for their hard work and effort.
For his part, Antonio López explained in general how the academic year will unfold and emphasized the importance of attending classes. These will commence on Tuesday, 15 September 2026. Before that, on Monday, 7 September, between 18:00 and 19:00 hours, the selection of instrument schedules for students will take place.
The school, affiliated with the Department of Education of the Junta de Andalucía, offers lifelong musical training. It currently has a teaching staff made up of seven teachers and offers up to eighteen specialties, including Music and Movement, Spanish Dance, Flamenco Dance for Adults, Musical Language, Clarinet, Flute, Violin, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone and Horn, Tuba, Euphonium, Flamenco Guitar, Trumpet, Choir, and Orchestra.
With this offering, the municipality reinforces its commitment to artistic training, which is aimed not only at children but also at adults who wish to start or continue their learning in disciplines such as flamenco dance or musical language.
