The last day of the educational leisure programme will be on 20 August, from 20:30 to 22:30, at the Children's Park of Plaza Andrés García Alcón 'May'.
The Town Hall of Lebrija will conclude the programme 'Soletes en la Luna. Summer 2026' this Thursday, 20 August, an educational leisure initiative that has toured various neighbourhoods of the town during July and August. The final event will take place from 20:30 to 22:30 at the Children's Park of Plaza Andrés García Alcón 'May', with free access until capacity is reached.
The proposal, framed within the Educational Plan 'Lebrija Educa', has offered playful, educational, and participatory activities in public spaces during the summer evenings. According to the council, the reception has been "excellent", with notable participation from children and families who have found in these events a healthy outdoor leisure alternative.
The programme started on 16 July at the Children's Park of Blas Infante and continued on 23 July at the park next to CEIP Josefa Gavala, on Avenida Miguel de Unamuno. The third event took place on 6 August at the Children's Park of the Boulevard, on Avenida Océano Atlántico, and now it concludes at Plaza del May, completing a journey through different areas of Lebrija.
Each of the four nights has been symbolically linked to a lunar phase: Waxing, Waxing Gibbous, Waning Crescent, and First Quarter. This element has given the programme its name and identity, which has aimed to promote play, creativity, physical activity, cooperation, and coexistence, while also recovering traditional games.
The initiative was born with the aim of providing alternatives for educational and healthy leisure during the evening hours, taking advantage of the best conditions for outdoor activities. Furthermore, it has helped to energise the neighbourhoods and highlight squares and parks as places for community gathering.
The Town Hall emphasises that the positive response from the public demonstrates the interest in such proposals that combine education, leisure, and coexistence. Families from Lebrija are invited to participate in this final night to collectively close a programme that has featured the youngest members of the community.
