The section between Alcalde Manuel de Reyes and Pozo Nuevo will be closed from 7 to 28 September to renew sanitation and prevent flooding. Buses will alter their routes.

On Monday 7 September, Calle Nueva in Mairena del Aljarafe will be closed to traffic due to works being carried out by Aljarafesa to improve rainwater drainage and prevent accumulation at the entrances to homes and businesses. The work, which responds to a citizen request, is expected to last until 28 September, weather permitting.

The closure will affect the section between Alcalde Manuel de Reyes and Pozo Nuevo. To access the area, traffic can continue along the first road to Zurraque, while at the other end, vehicles can turn left to enter the parking of Plaza de Casa Grande.

The works will also disrupt bus services. According to the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Seville Area, lines M-151, M-152, M-153, and M-155 heading towards Sevilla-Mairena will not enter the old town via Avenida San Juan, but will instead travel along Avenida de los Olmos and Avenida de las Civilizaciones.

As a result, the two stops on Calle Nueva and the one at Federico García Lorca will be out of service. As an alternative, passengers can use the stops of line M-142B on Avenida de las Civilizaciones (Instituto) and the three stops on Avenida de los Olmos.

Traffic will be restored once the work is completed and the road is in good condition. The Mairena del Aljarafe Town Hall has assured that the procession scheduled for 27 September will be able to take place as planned.
