Mayor Carmen Herrera and President of the Diputación, Javier Fernández, inaugurate the comprehensive renovation of the grass, irrigation, and fences of the sports facility, with a provincial investment close to 800,000 euros in two stadiums.
The Joaquín Rodríguez Morilla Municipal Stadium in Castilleja de la Cuesta now showcases its new look. Mayor Carmen Herrera and the President of the Diputación de Sevilla, Javier Fernández, inaugurated the renovation of the facility on Friday, accompanied by the president of RCD Nueva Sevilla, Francisco Jurado Martín.
The works have completely renewed the playing field's grass, the irrigation system, the nets, and the perimeter protection fences. The scoreboards and access gate have also been replaced, and painting and masonry work has been carried out with municipal funds.
The provincial institution's investment in the sports infrastructure of the locality is around 800,000 euros and also includes the Antonio Almendro Municipal Stadium, which was visited before the inaugural event and whose extensive renovation was inaugurated in July.
