The Local Government Board of Seville City Council has given the green light to the first call of 'Sevilla te lleva', with a budget of €48,950 to finance bus transport for excursions organized by youth entities. Applications can be submitted from the day after its publication in the BOP until 30 November 2026.
Seville City Council approved this Friday the first edition of the Sevilla te lleva programme, an initiative aimed at covering the logistical cost of bus transport for excursions organized by youth entities in the city. The call has a budget of €48,950 and is directed at non-profit associations registered in the Municipal Register of Citizen Entities.
Entities that organize educational leisure activities, coexistence, nature, sports, culture, or music for children and young people aged 3 to 30 years will be able to benefit from this aid. The programme covers bus travel for overnight trips outside the capital, always within Spain or Portugal, and each entity may request up to 220 places per trip.
The application submission period will open the day after the publication of the call in the Official Bulletin of the Province (BOP) and will remain open until 30 November 2026. Requests must be registered through the Electronic Headquarters of Seville City Council at least 10 calendar days in advance for trips taking place until 13 December 2026.
The municipal spokesperson, Juan Bueno, stated that this measure responds to a need identified among the associations in the city.
"We are eliminating the main economic obstacle faced by our associations when planning their projects outside Seville: the cost of transport. With nearly €49,000, we are helping hundreds of young Sevillians to develop educational and coexistence activities, alleviating a significant cost that until now was borne by their families' pockets."
The call is part of the push by the government team of José Luis Sanz to facilitate the work of youth entities, which until now had to bear the travel expenses from their budget. With this grant line, the City Council aims for the groups to expand their programming of activities outside the capital without transport being a hindrance.
Additionally, the Local Government Board has approved the awarding of the contract to renew the Civil Protection vehicles of Seville City Council, with an investment of €96,701.94. This allocation will allow for the acquisition of light vehicles, motorcycles, and specialized technical equipment, and includes the addition of the first 'pick-up' type vehicle, a unit adapted to urgently transport heavy materials.
As explained by Juan Bueno, this investment initiates a modernization plan to replace means that, unlike other municipal bodies, operate with owned vehicles. The new equipment will strengthen the logistical support that Civil Protection volunteers provide to the Local Police and the Fire Department during emergency situations.
"The commitment of Mayor Sanz to equip Civil Protection personnel with the technical equipment required by a large city in the 21st century. Ultimately, we are also investing in ensuring the safety of Sevillians with rapid intervention tools that optimize the response to any incident."
Entities interested in the transport programme must be attentive to the publication of the call in the BOP to submit their online application within the established deadline. The aid will cover trips made until 13 December 2026, with the condition of registering the request at least ten calendar days before departure.
