The Andalusian Public Theatre Network (RATP) will offer nine performances in eight municipalities of Seville during the month of July, featuring proposals ranging from circus to jazz.
The Andalusian Public Theatre Network (RATP) has presented its programme for July in the province of Seville, with a total of nine performances that will tour eight municipalities. The initiative, driven by the Ministry of Culture and Sport through the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions (AAIICC), aims to create new audiences for the performing arts and strengthen the professional fabric of the Andalusian cultural sector.
Kick-off with music and circus in Morón, Mairena, and Cantillana
The programme will kick off on 2nd July at the Santa Clara Space in Morón de la Frontera with 'El Cuerpo', the second album by rapper and copla singer Carmen Xía, accompanied by her producer Suzio Tarik. The concert will start at 20:30 and promises a fusion of rap and copla that will leave no one indifferent. On the same day, at 22:00, the Bonsor House Museum of the Castle of Mairena del Alcor will host 'El clavecín español', performed by Concerto Málaga, a journey through the influence of Spanish musical tradition on the sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti and Antonio Soler.
The following day, 3rd July, the circus will arrive at the CEIP Nuestra Señora de la Soledad de Cantillana with 'Rodeo', by La Banda de Otro, at 10:00. This proposal transforms a Wild West show into a fun parody where humour and audience participation are the main stars. An original way to start the day, especially for the little ones.
Environmental reflection and literary journeys in Bormujos and Arahal
On 7th July, at 19:00, the Bulevar San Juan de Dios Park in Bormujos will host 'Cateura', by Alas Circo Teatro. This show combines circus, music, and object manipulation to invite reflection on the environmental impact of waste and the importance of sustainability. Ideal for enjoying with family while raising ecological awareness.
On 9th July, at 21:30, the Pulpejo Fountain in Arahal will be the setting for 'Artilusio', by the company Markeliñe. This family show proposes a journey into the universe of imagination through a fantastic machine powered by books, accompanied by Greta, an elderly woman passionate about stories. An evening that promises emotions and creativity for all ages.
Jazz, piano, and closure in Los Palacios and Utrera
Music will take over on 10th July at the Plaza Almazara in Los Palacios y Villafranca with 'A story of women in jazz', by Four Women Quartet, at 21:00. The concert reviews the evolution of jazz through the women who shaped its history, from blues to avant-garde. A unique opportunity to discover or rediscover this musical genre.
Finally, on 17th July, at 22:00, the Enrique de la Cuadra Municipal Theatre in Utrera will host 'Paris at the piano', by Carmen París. In an intimate format, the artist revisits her most emblematic songs, merging Aragonese jota with Mediterranean and American sounds. A luxurious closing for a programme that shows that culture does not take a holiday in summer.
For the residents of these municipalities, the RATP represents an opportunity to access quality performances without having to travel to the capital. As a precedent, in 2025 the network programmed more than 50 performances in the province, consolidating itself as a decentralised cultural engine. Tickets are usually free or at very low prices, and can be checked at the respective town halls. It is worth remembering that, during the heatwave, these outdoor events or those in air-conditioned indoor spaces are a perfect plan for July nights. However, it is advisable to arrive early to get a good spot.
