The programme, which begins on October 3, includes six hiking routes through Lebrija, Las Cabezas de San Juan, El Cuervo de Sevilla, and Trebujena, with guided visits to hermitages. Registration will open soon.

The City Council of Lebrija, through the Municipal Sports Board and the Tourism delegation, has presented a new edition of Autumn Trails alongside the Tirapalante Sports Club. The programme includes six routes that will take place between October 3 and November 14 across the municipalities of Lebrija, Las Cabezas de San Juan, El Cuervo de Sevilla, and Trebujena.

The main novelty this year is the inclusion of routes through Las Cabezas de San Juan, El Cuervo de Sevilla, and Trebujena, which join the already traditional routes in Lebrija. Additionally, the hermitages will be the common thread of all the days, with guided visits to learn about their history and their connection to local traditions.

The Sports delegate, María Encarnación Fuentes, emphasised the healthy, open, and non-competitive nature of the initiative, designed for each participant to walk at their own pace and enjoy nature and companionship. The routes are open to both experienced hikers and those who wish to start, and can be undertaken individually, with family, or with friends.

The Tourism delegate, Pepe Martínez, explained that this year the focus is on the hermitages, "places of devotion, spaces linked to pilgrimages and popular festivals" that are part of the heritage and collective memory of the municipalities.

The calendar kicks off on Saturday, October 3 in Lebrija with the route Hermitage of San Benito and PAR-469 Balsa de Melendo trail, covering 10.09 kilometres. The departure will be at 9:00 AM from the Hermitage of San Benito.

On October 10, the event moves to Las Cabezas de San Juan with the route Hermitage of San Roque and trail through El Ranchillo, covering 9.19 kilometres. Departures will be at 9:00 AM from IES El Fontana and at 9:30 AM from the Hermitage of San Roque.

On October 17, it will be the turn of El Cuervo de Sevilla, with a route of 12.62 kilometres that will allow participants to visit the Hermitage of Rosario and the trails through La Mocha, El Cubo, and Toyón. The departure will be at 9:00 AM from Plaza del May and at 9:30 AM from the Hermitage of Rosario.

On October 31, the programme returns to Lebrija with the route Hermitage of La Señuela and trail along the Guadalquivir river, covering 11 kilometres. The departure will take place at 9:00 AM from the Municipal Pavilion and at 9:30 AM from the Hermitage of La Señuela.

On November 7, the route moves to Trebujena, with a route of 9.36 kilometres that includes the Hermitage of Palomares and trails among vineyards. Departures will be at 9:00 AM from the Municipal Pavilion and at 9:30 AM from the Hermitage of Palomares.

The programme concludes on November 14 in Lebrija with the route Hermitage of the Castle and trails through the hills of the Castle and Overo, covering 9.54 kilometres, with departure at 9:00 AM from the Hermitage of the Castle.

Those who complete all six routes will be able to participate in a special route to Pico de la Gallina, in the Montes de Propios de Jerez de la Frontera, on Saturday, November 28. It will be a route of 14 kilometres with departure at 7:30 AM from the parking lot of the Sports Centre.

The routes have minimal elevation changes, as they take place in the Bajo Guadalquivir area, with distances ranging from 9 to 12 kilometres. The organisation recommends comfortable clothing and footwear, bringing water, and respecting the guides' instructions, schedules, and the natural and heritage sites visited.

The routes will have responsible individuals accompanying the groups, and during visits to the hermitages, explanations about their history and significance will be provided. The proposal aims to share the experience among residents of the different participating municipalities.
