The series 'One Minute with...' brings residents closer to municipal employees. Teresa Japón has been with the Town Hall for over a decade and is now the secretary of the Town Hall.
Teresa Japón is one of those faces that the residents of Palomares del Río see every day at the Town Hall, although few know her story. She has been working for the municipality since 2013 and currently holds the position of secretary of the Town Hall, a role from which much of the day-to-day institutional management is handled.
Her career has spanned various areas such as youth and employment, allowing her to closely understand the needs of the residents. Among her most special memories, Japón highlights the camps and life projects shared with the town's youth, a role she describes as one of the most rewarding of her career.
The municipal worker takes this initiative to send a message to the citizens: she invites them to actively participate in the activities, workshops, and services organized by the Town Hall. “When everything is known in detail, things are understood much better”, she asserts.
“When everything is known in detail, things are understood much better. Thanks to all the residents of Palomares who participate in the life of our town.”
The series “One Minute with...”, promoted by the Town Hall of Palomares del Río itself, aims precisely to let residents know the work behind each municipal service. This time, the protagonist has been Teresa Japón, whose testimony has also been shared in a short video format through the Town Hall's social media.
With initiatives like this, the municipal government team aims to bring local administration closer to citizens and foster a more participatory community. Community participation thus becomes the focus of a project that, according to its promoters, helps build a more united town.
The complete video interview with Teresa Japón is available on the Town Hall's YouTube channel, within the section “One Minute with...”. Interested parties can watch it via the link shared by the Town Hall on its official profiles.
