The Bormujos City Council is organising a summer cinema cycle with eight free screenings in parks and public spaces during July and August.

The Bormujos City Council has announced the programme for its summer cinema 2026, which will offer eight outdoor films in various parks across the municipality. The screenings, all free of charge, will take place between 1st July and 20th August, and are aimed at families, although any resident can attend.

The cycle will kick off on Wednesday 1st July at the municipal pool with the film Garfield, at 10:30 PM. From then on, the sessions will move to Thursdays each week, alternating locations such as the University City, the Portadas Park, El Aceitunillo Park, La Florida Park, Carlos Cano Park, Blanca Paloma Park, and Los Álamos Park.

In July, the screenings will start at 10:30 PM, while in August they will be brought forward to 10:00 PM, adapting to the summer time change. Admission is free, but attendees must bring their own chair or seat, as seating is not provided.

The programme includes titles such as Minecraft (9th July), Polican (16th July), Johnny Puff (23rd July), Imaginary Friends (30th July), Lilo & Stitch live (6th August), Elio (13th August), and Mufasa (20th August). All are recent animated films suitable for children and adults.

This initiative, which is repeated every summer, aims to promote community coexistence and provide a free alternative for night-time leisure. In previous editions, the average attendance has been around 200 people per session, according to data from the City Council.

For more information, interested parties can consult the municipal website or visit the City Council. Screenings will be suspended in case of rain, and there is no bar service or food sales, so it is recommended to bring drinks and snacks.
