The Los Palacios and Villafranca Town Hall has inaugurated the new children's playground in the district of Los Chapatales, a 160,000 euro investment from the Sevilla 107 Plan of the Provincial Council.

The children of the district of Los Chapatales now have a new place to play. The Los Palacios and Villafranca Town Hall has opened to the public the playground located in Plaza Mayor, a modern, safe and adapted facility that completes a plan for the renovation of play spaces in the municipality.

The mayor, Juan Manuel Valle, accompanied by the Urban Planning delegate, José Manuel Triguero, visited the facility on Wednesday. They were welcomed by the municipal representative in the district, Francisco Antonio Begines, to see the results of a project that has cost 160,000 euros.

An investment from the Sevilla 107 Plan

This playground is one of the most significant actions carried out with the Sevilla 107 Plan of the Provincial Council. Thanks to this program, the Town Hall has built new playgrounds in the three districts of the municipality: El Trobal, Maribáñez and Los Chapatales, in addition to the new playground in Plaza del Teatro, in the urban area.

In total, there are five new play spaces that, according to the mayor, respond to the municipal commitment to improve facilities for children and promote family coexistence in all neighborhoods and areas of the municipality.

More parks on the way

Juan Manuel Valle announced that this line of action will continue. The Town Hall is awaiting the bidding for new parks for the Plaza de España and Plaza de Andalucía, where the oldest spaces will be renovated.

The mayor reminded that these projects require specialized administrative and contracting processes, which sometimes delays their commissioning. "Our goal is to invest public money wisely. These actions require specialized companies and compliance with all procedures, although we understand the eagerness of the little ones to enjoy these spaces as soon as they see them almost finished," he commented.

A call for citizen collaboration

With the opening of the Los Chapatales park, the Town Hall reinforces its commitment to the creation and renovation of quality public spaces that are safe and accessible for children. It also makes a call for citizen collaboration to maintain these facilities in the best conditions, so that they continue to be places of meeting, coexistence and leisure for the families of Los Palacios and Villafranca.

The residents of the district can now enjoy this new space, which includes adapted games and safety flooring. The park is open every day and its maintenance will be the responsibility of the Town Hall, which hopes that the little ones will take care of it as their own.
