The Town Hall of Tomares, in collaboration with ADECCO, is organising 10 free in-person courses in July to improve the digital skills of residents, with limited spots for 15 participants per course.

The Town Hall of Tomares has launched a new free training offer for the month of July, consisting of ten in-person courses of ten hours each, aimed at improving the basic digital skills of the public. The initiative, framed within the project 'Training for the Andalusian Citizen in Basic Digital Skills', is supported by ADECCO and promoted by the Digital Agency of Andalusia (ADA), under the Junta de Andalucía, as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

The courses will be held in the morning at the Town Hall's FPE Centre in Tomares, located at 2 Tomás Ybarra Street, first floor. Spots are limited, with a maximum of fifteen participants per course, and registrations are already open through the municipal electronic headquarters or the Town Hall's Employment Web Portal. Residents of Tomares will be given preference, although the courses are aimed at those over 14 years old and local residents in general.

The programme, structured over different days of the week, includes a variety of topics. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, courses such as 'eLearning: how to educate yourself' (6, 8, and 10 July), 'Safe use of email' (10, 13, and 15 July), 'No more queues: online management and procedures' (17, 20, and 22 July), 'The cookie monster: comply with cookies and legal aspects on the web' (22, 24, and 27 July), and 'Master spreadsheets: Advanced Excel' (29, 31 July and 3 August) will be taught.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, 'Create presentations with CANVA' (7, 9, and 14 July), 'Your personal or professional brand on Instagram' (16, 21, and 23 July), and 'Much more than an email: managing emails, calendars, notes, and tasks with Google' (23, 28, and 30 July) will be offered. Each course combines full morning sessions with reduced hours, according to the established calendar.

This is not the first training action by the Town Hall within the Andalucía Vuela project. Previously, up to five editions of the course 'How to apply Artificial Intelligence in your daily life' have been held, which recorded high participation and were positively evaluated by attendees.

The Employment and Training department has highlighted that these courses aim to reduce the digital divide and facilitate residents' access to essential technological tools for daily and work life. Interested individuals can download the application form (Annex I) from the Town Hall's electronic headquarters and submit it either electronically or in person. Spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until full capacity is reached.
