The Town Hall of Mairena del Alcor, through the Environmental Delegation, has launched its annual campaign of preventive treatments for disinsection, disinfection, and rat control in all the Infant and Primary Education Schools (CEIP) in the locality. The work also extends to the APRODI centres.
The councillor for the Environment, Ana Guillén, has visited the facilities of the Huerta Retiro school to supervise on-site the work carried out by the company awarded the environmental health monitoring contract.
The interventions are carried out between September 1 and 4. This timeframe ensures the necessary ventilation and action time for the treatments to take full effect safely before the return of students and teaching staff next week.
The work includes the treatment of manholes, drains, sumps, and both outdoor and indoor areas of the centres. The entire process is carried out under current public health regulations and using approved biocides.
This initiative is part of the Town Hall's ongoing commitment within its Municipal Environmental Health Plan, which pays special attention to key dates such as the return to classrooms.
